I believe psychologists can change the world for the better. This is me doing my bit. I have found great purpose in helping people reduce their anguish, and to give them the safe space they need to find meaning in life and reach their full potential.
I started my career as a Clinical Psychologist in the late 90s. I worked in schools and health centres, and later I moved to the UK and trained as a Counselling Psychologist. I have since worked in health centres, hospitals and private practice.
Having successfully survived years of sleep deprivation and complete chaos thanks to my offspring, I now focus on my work with couples and individuals in distress. I am especially passionate about helping new parents transition into parenthood, as well as working with those couples who may be on the brink of divorce.
I’m a Certified Gottman Therapist and use this method when working with couples. My training at the Gottman Institute in Seattle, in the USA has provided me with the skills and tools to work with a range of challenges that couples face. I am also a Certified Discernment Counsellor, a Bringing Baby Home Educator and a Gottman Seven Principles Program Leader.
I hold an MA in Psychology from Jyväskylä University, Finland and an MA in Counselling Psychology from City University in the UK. I also hold a Post-MA in Existential Counselling Psychology from City University.
I am a member of the Finnish Psychological Association and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society.
In Finland, I am licensed by the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health.
In Dubai, I am licensed by the Community Development Authority (CDA). My CDA license number is CDA-PL-0001031.
I have experience in supervising teachers, counsellors and psychologists.
